Zemira Israel's beloved followers who both know and do not know or have ever heard about the biblical charge for the children of Israel to commemorate this victorious day called the "Day of Simon".

The 23rd day of the 2nd Hebrew month is when the Israelites commemorate the Day of Simon. In the Apocrypha books; 1st Maccabees 13:1-52 you can read the history.

On this day the Israelites are permitted to buy, sell, work and cook on this day, unlike most of the other holy days ordained of the Most High for the His people to celebrate.

This is the day we remember the trials, victories & great acts of our forefather Simon and others with him, thanks to the Most High in Christ!

The Most High helped our forefathers slay an enemy of Israel who was killing us for many years.

This day especially we can commemorate the day by sending each other portions/gifts as good will and remembrance of this day. Or you can write a song about it praising the Most High and the men He used to win one of the nation of Israel's many victories! 😄 You can absolutely decorate your home like any other day if you choose...really however you'd like to commemorate the day is up to you, whether you do it like the ancestors written in Maccabees with singing and festivities, or just making the day a day of relaxation, remembrance and gratitude.
